How To

Paste without the Prompt

iOS asks before pocketty pastes text from another app. Allow it once in iOS Settings, and the prompt stops.

When you tap Paste on the key row or in the message bar, iOS can ask:

“pocketty” would like to paste from “Safari”. Do you want to allow this?

iOS asks every time an app reads the clipboard after you copied something in another app. Don’t Allow Paste is the default button, so check which button you tap.

Stop the Prompt

  1. Open iOS Settings → Apps → pocketty. On iOS 17, open iOS Settings → pocketty.
  2. Tap Paste from Other Apps.
  3. Choose Allow.

pocketty then pastes at once, with no prompt.

Paste without Changing the Setting

The menu that shows when you hold a word in the terminal, or hold the message field, never asks. Choose Paste there.

Turn It Back

Set Paste from Other Apps to Ask to get the prompt again, or to Deny to block pastes from other apps. With Deny, the Paste key pastes only what you copied in pocketty.
